Directors

Paul Ponsonby

Paul worked for his Father’s company for 24 years and set up his own business in 1998. He built the company up and now has a loyal client base and an excellent team of staff. Paul remains very hands on in the business; having done every job role possible, he is very understanding and provides advice and support to all drivers and warehouse staff. Paul’s wealth of knowledge and experience has ensured that the company has gone from strength to strength. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, fine dining and weekends away.

Linda Wildman

Prior to Paul Ponsonby Ltd, Linda worked in the Transport Industry. She joined the company in 2001 as a Commercial Manger, and in 2007 was promoted to Director. Linda is very hands on within the company and is still very much involved with the day to day running of the transport side of the business. Linda provides the highest level of customer service; has fantastic relationships with all customers, and takes pride in all that she does. Linda has driven the company forward leading to many of the awards Paul Ponsonby Ltd has won over the years. Her caring nature ensures a happy working environment which has directly contributed to the low turnover of staff. In her spare time Linda enjoys spending time with her family, holidays and socialising.

Sales and Marketing

Joanne Dolan

Joanne graduated from University in 2007 after receiving a BA Hons in Advertising and Marketing Communications. After working in a sales and marketing role for a sign language company she then gained logistics industry experience as a field sales executive for a large parcel delivery company.  Joanne joined us in January 2010 and is responsible for all sales and marketing activities within the company. Achievements this year include; a successful show at Multimodal, a new brochure and new business for both the warehouse and specialist distribution sides of the business. Outside of work Joanne enjoys holidays, eating out, and socialising with friends.

Office

Brenda Tuckley

The newest member to the team Brenda joined the company in August this year as an office administrator. Previously to that she worked for a well known opticians for 23 years before being made redundant.  Brenda is responsible for greeting customers/visitors; preparing driver paperwork, credit control and reconciling POD’s.  Brenda is very thorough in all that she does and makes all visitors feel completely at ease when they walk through the door. She is ‘Mom’ of the office and a great support the rest of the team. In her spare time Brenda enjoys line dancing, reading and caravanning.

Sharon Colley

Sharon has worked in accounts for the past 20 years. She has been with the company for over 10 years and is responsible for managing the companies’ accounts. Working under her own initiative; Sharon has shown she has a head for numbers and is a pleasure to have in the office. In her spare time Sharon enjoys travel, walking and general socialising.

Warehouse

Paul Hancock

Paul is the Warehouse Operations Manager joining the team more than 10 years ago from an electrical manufacturing company. He is responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse and at times has been over-seeing up to 55 staff at 7 sites. Paul’s calm and efficient nature has resulted in some of our very first customers still being with us today. An important member of the team; nothing is ever too much trouble. In his spare time Paul enjoys reading, sport and spending time with his family.

Stewart Marshall

Stewart has worked in the transport industry since leaving school in 1995.  Over the years he has gained skills and knowledge which led to his previous company giving him his first managerial role in 2005.  He joined Paul Ponsonby Limited as a warehouse supervisor after being made redundant from a large automotive manufacturer in 2010.  Stewart now oversees major contracts for Paul Ponsonby Ltd; liaising with all customers/suppliers to ensure all deliveries and arrivals are received/despatched correctly and in a timely manner.  He has built up fantastic relationships with his colleagues; assisting the Warehouse Manager with other tasks where necessary.  He has a flexible approach to work and enjoys pushing himself by learning new skills.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 young children.

Terry Hancock

Previous to working for Paul Ponsonby Ltd; Terry worked as an operations manager for 19 years at an electrical manufacturing company. He joined us 6 years ago and is responsible for warehouse staff, and health and safety. Terry ensures a smooth operation on a daily basis while maintaining an excellent relationship with all warehouse staff. He ‘makes things happen’ and starts at 6am ensuring all drivers depart on time. In his spare time Terry has a keen interest in travel and sports.

Lisa Whitehouse

Lisa has been in the warehousing/transport industry for 12 years in an administration role.  After being made redundant by her previous employers she then joined Paul Ponsonby Ltd as warehouse administrator in 2011.  On a day to day basis Lisa deals with stock requests, driver deliveries/collections, emailing customer reports and general admin.  She also implemented a warehouse filing system which has increased efficiency with customer queries.  A bubbly character in the office Lisa always has a smile on her face and is happy to go over and above for colleagues and customers.  She does her absolute best to help anyone if there is a problem, and will not rest until it is resolved.  In her spare time she enjoys reading, pamper days, gardening and DIY.
