Paul Ponsonby Ltd continues to support Troop Aid!

TROOP AID was founded in November 2006 by three ex servicemen as a result of a visit to Selly Oak Hospital’s Alexandra Wing in Birmingham. When Troops return to the United Kingdom from the war zones they arrive back without their personal effects or clothing. The objective of TROOP AID is to supply the ‘basic essentials’ when service casualties return from serving their country overseas.

For the second consecutive year Paul Ponsonby Ltd supported Troop Aid by attending their annual ball as well as making a donation on the night. Having booked two tables they were able to invite many customers and suppliers, all of whom thought it to be an extremely worthwhile cause and a very enjoyable evening:

‘Just to say we had a great night thanks to all! Let me know if you find out how much was
raised altogether it would be nice to know.’

Paul Ponsonby and Linda Wildman received a beautiful etter of thanks from Linda Stokes, Troop Aid Trustee:

‘On behalf of Troop Aid, I would like to thank you for your latest donation. This will be used to provide injured soilders with grab bags, mobile phones and items of clothing. It was very generous of you both and totally unexpected as you had already helped us so much this year with your donation of get well cards. I regularly see these cards by the beds at the hospital and they are also sent out on a weekly basis to Afghanistan. Here, at Troop Aid we will continue to provide our Injured Troops with the basic essentials for as long as we are needed both at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham and the Field Hospital in Afghanistan and it is only with donations such as yours that we can continue to do this.’

Get Well Cards for Troop Aid

TROOP AID was founded in November 2006 by three ex servicemen as a result of a visit to Selly Oak Hospital’s Alexandra Wing in Birmingham. This is the home of the Defence Medical Welfare Services who are responsible for the welfare of all Armed Forces Personnel, male and female who have been injured during the conflict in Afghanistan and elsewhere.

When Troops return to the United Kingdom from the war zones they arrive back without their personal effects or clothing. The objective of TROOP AID is to supply the ‘basic essentials’ when service casualties return from serving their country overseas.

Items in the GRAB BAG include T-shirt and shorts, washing and shaving kit, towel, face flannel, tooth paste, tooth brush, shower mules, socks, underwear, pen and paper. Female requirements are also provided.

The GRAB BAGS are currently being sent out to the UK Military Hospitals in Afghanistan, the new Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and other Ministry of Defence Hospital Units within the UK.

Paul Ponsonby Ltd supports Troop Aid by providing get well cards for these bags. They were designed by local children with the message reading ’The thoughts and prayers of a grateful nation are with you’.

UKWA finalist in Customer Care 2011

Another successful show for Paul Ponsonby Ltd at Multimodal 2011!

Paul Ponsonby Limited exhibited for the second year in a row at Multimodal 2011. Multimodal 2011 is the UK’s only event dedicated to helping maximise the efficiencies of your freight, transport, logistics and supply chain management procedures. Now in its fourth year it has quickly established itself as one of the fastest growing shows in the industry.

After a sucessful year in 2010, Paul Ponsonby Limited took a stand double the size in 2011. Early analysis shows signs of another successful show with their profile being raised and many exciting enquiries to work on.

They have rebooked for 2012 already on stand 426. Further details to follow at a later stage.
