Joanne makes a big impression at Streetsbrook Infant and Early Years Academy.

Year 1 children at Streetsbrook Infant and Early Years Academy enjoyed a highly animated presentation on Logistics given by our own Joanne Gumery. Joanne who is a mum to two children of her own, livened up the talk by engaging the children, getting them to open parcels to see where the contents were made, She then explained how items such as school bags, can be made in China, loaded onto a container to travel around the globe ending up in a warehouse in Britain, to be later unloaded, stored and when ordered by customers, are picked and shipped to shops and department stores where people like us buy them. Such was Jo's skill at presenting with consummate enthusiasm, many of the children expressed a desire to pursue a career in Logistics when they grow up. Joanne had emphasised the importance of teamwork in a warehousing environment as found at Paul Ponsonby Ltd, captivating the attention of not only the class, but the teaching staff too!
